Bahamas Family Island Kids Become Young Eagles

Nine year old Isaac Fox last Friday became the First and Youngest Bahamian to join the ranks of Young Eagles. The Program is an initiative to get young people between the ages of 8 and 7 excited about flying and the aviation industry and is sponsored by EAA one of America's largest association of pilots.

Canadian dies in accident on Long Island

A Canadian visitor was killed in a car crash in Clarence Town, Long Island, on Monday night after he struck a utility pole, police said.

Prescription Drug Plan expanded to include fourth group of Bahamians

Phase I of the National Prescription Drug Plan (NPDP) has been expanded to include Bahamian citizens over 65 years of age who are not eligible to receive NIB pensions either as a result of insufficient contributions for a contributory benefit or, have more than adequate resources for a non-contributory assistance, NPDP Manager Tami Francis said.
